Our latest update to make tracking time even easier: thanks to the Timeneye Browser Widget, you can now track time for your Planner tasks directly in Microsoft Teams.
Let me show you how!
Up until today, Timeneye supported tracking time in the Microsoft Planner web app only, thanks to our native and browser widget integration.
We also provide another integration with Microsoft Team, thanks to the Timeneye app for Microsoft Teams.
However, many users asked us to integrate with the Planner found inside Microsoft Teams. Many people were using Microsoft Teams primarily, so they needed to track time for their tasks, meetings, plans, directly from Teams.
So, thanks to our latest update you can continue to stay in Teams but also track time for your Planner tasks.
👉IMPORTANT NOTE: at the moment you can only track time for the planner tasks in the Microsoft Teams web app, not the Teams desktop app.
We’d love to add this to the desktop app as well, but we cannot now due to some technical limitations for Microsoft Teams apps.
But we’re not losing hope and we hope to integrate with the Planner in the desktop app as well!
Step #1: Download and install the Timeneye Browser Widget (it’s available for Chrome and Firefox);
Step #2: log in to Timeneye in the Widget with your credentials;
Step #3: log in to the Microsoft Teams, web version:
Step #4: find the Timeneye button in your Planner tasks. Like all our Browser Widget integrations, the Timeneye widget adds a little button to click in order to track time.
Just like when you track inside the Microsoft Planner web app, you’ll find the entries you have created with a Planner icon and the mane of the task in the time card:
What are you waiting for? Head to your Timeneye dashboard and give this feature a try!
