How to Track time in Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Teams

Subscribe

Timeneye Browser Widget allows you to use Planner’s dashboard on Microsoft Teams and makes you able to track your project life cycle to avoid any time-wasting task

What is Microsoft Planner used for? Let us start with the first step

Microsoft Planner is a mobile and web app that the suite Microsoft 365 offers to its users as already available with their subscription.
As suggested by its name it is a planner app and, for this reason, it is one of the best project management tools available on the market since it allows the user to keep an eye on each team's work, update the status of every single task and check the due dates of the projects.

Why Microsoft Planner Tasks on Microsoft Teams will help you to avoid losing the time you spent on each project

As many of you already know, Timeneye supports tracking time in the Microsoft Planner web app, thanks to our native and browser widget integration and, it also provides another integration for Microsoft Teams with the Timeneye app for Microsoft Teams

Our company’s goal was to help you reach your goals and objectives, get rid of time-wasting issues while creating detailed timesheets and work aligned with your colleagues; both in case they are seated at the other side of your desk or at their kitchen table while smart working.

So, what we thought to do was to continue making you use Microsoft Planner in Teams and check the time you spent on meetings and calls without ever leaving the app.

Do you want to know how to start tracking time for Planner Tasks in Microsoft Teams thanks to Timeneye’s widget? Follow our steps and get ready to set the tracker on!

How to get the full potential of Timeneye’s widget integration that allows you to use Microsoft Planner directly in Teams

  • Download and install the Timeneye Browser Widget (it’s available for Chrome and Firefox);
  • Log in to Timeneye in the Widget with your credentials;
  • Log in to the Microsoft Teams, web version:
  • Find the Timeneye button in your Planner tasks. Like all our Browser Widget integrations, the Timeneye widget adds a little button to click on in order to track the time.

The owners can set up the integration to synch the plans in the Microsoft Planner account with the Timeneye projects. When correctly linked, the integration will automatically import all the Plans in Timeneye. No more manual work, less time-wasting issues means more completed tasks!

Just like when you track inside the Microsoft Planner web app, you will here find the entries you have created with a Planner icon and the name of the task on the time card:

And here we are: now you are all set to track time for your Microsoft Planner tasks, without ever leaving Microsoft Teams!

Now you can improve your work and reach your goals and objectives; both in the case you are a small-medium company or an enterprise.
